SMAC's performance report can be viewed here. To work out whether SMAC meets your needs, please download a copy of the PDS and speak to an independent financial adviser.
SMAC aims to deliver investors returns that outperform the RBA’s official target cash rate plus 1% - 2% per annum after all fees and costs over a rolling 12 month period. More generally, the fund is seeking to provide investors with returns above the average returns of traditional cash products after fees.
This investment objective is not intended to be a forecast. It is only an indication of what the investment strategy aims to achieve over the medium to long term, assuming financial markets remain relatively stable during that time. The fund may not achieve its investment objective. Returns are not guaranteed.
Why use SMAC rather than managing your cash yourself?
You can shop around and keep switching between banks to try and find the best rates for your cash, or you can let SMAC help you do some of that work. Our investment managers are in the market every day to ensure you get the best available institutional rates from their deposits and investment-grade bonds issued by banks and major companies. When you invest your money, it is pooled together with other investors’ money. The fund uses this larger pool of money to buy institutional investments and manage them on behalf of all investors. This means that by investing in the fund you may have access to certain investments that you might not otherwise be able to access on your own, as well as to the expertise of the fund’s investment management team.
