Dane Bouris, Principal at Yellow Brick Road Surry Hills, brings over 10 years of financial services experience to inner Sydney.

Dane began his career at Wizard Home Loans Artarmon, assisting the company’s mortgage brokers and credit analysts. After 18 months, Dane became a mobile lender forthe Maroubra and Earlwood branches where he worked to help his clients take the necessary steps towards owning their own home.

In 2003, Dane moved into Wizard’s Business Development department where he was responsible for opening branches around Australia and assisting franchisees in establishing and developing their businesses. Dane became instrumental in the induction process at Wizard and the experience gave him his first taste of entrepreneurialism and the perils and triumphs of being a young business owner.

Through Dane’s experience in the mortgage broking industry, he quickly developed a passion for property development. Following his interest, Dane moved from Wizard to family business State Capital Property in 2005, where he became familiar with the development and management of an extensive portfolio of properties, including a number of resorts and hotels. This led Dane to his next career move as a hotelier for boutique Darlinghurst hotel property, Morgans. Under Dane’s direction, Morgans currently operates at 90% capacity and is one of Sydney’s premier boutique destinations.

As Dane’s father, Mark Bouris, built his financial services company Yellow Brick Road Wealth Management, Dane developed a keen interest in getting more involved in working directly with clients to assist them in building their future. In 2012, Dane, along with fellow Wizard alum Andrew Kaidbay, became co-principals of Yellow Brick Road Surry Hills, a new branch in one of Sydney’s most sought out suburbs.

At Yellow Brick Road Surry Hills, Dane looks forward to working with local residents to assist them in building a promising future. In a neighbourhood heavily populated with young families and first time home buyers, Dane is thrilled at the prospect of seeing his clients through the entire wealth management process from the purchase of their home through to planning for retirement. In a difficult economic climate, Dane believes quality financial advice is the best way for people to feel confidence and control of their own destiny.
