Mark Bouris - Chairman

Mark Bouris

Mark has been involved in the finance and property sectors for over 25 years. He founded Wizard Home Loans in 1999 which he then sold to GE Capital five years later. Wizard was one of Australia's largest non-bank lenders with its successful brand expanding into international markets. In July 2004 Mark was appointed Adjunct Professor (Banking & Finance and Business Law & Tax) at the University of NSW and also sits on the UNSW Advisory Board. He is also an industry leader on consumer protection issues.

James Garnsey - Head of Accounting and Wealth Management

James has over 20 years experience in the profession including over 10 years as a partner in a Chartered Accounting firm prior to joining Yellow Brick Road in 2007. He specialises in providing accounting, taxation and financial advice to individuals and SMEs and advising on the establishment and operation of Self Managed Superannuation Funds. James has a strong network of associates in the financial markets and many of the professions.

David Carr

Vic Davis

David is a Chartered Accountant and Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and South Australia. Originally, David obtained experience with two of the world’s largest accounting firms. For the past 20 years, he has been providing tax, business planning and asset structuring advice to small/medium businesses and individuals.

David assists clients in financing, deal structuring, tax objections, tax preparation and generally provides a decision support mechanism to clients.

“I am acutely aware that identifying a client’s problem is only a very small part of my role. Once a problem has been identified, it is necessary to provide a quantifiable solution clearly showing the benefits of the advice.”

 

Recently, David has completed at Master of Taxation at the University of New South Wales.

Tony McGrath - Equities

James Garnsey

Tony has had over 18 years in the financial services industry with the majority of his experience in client advising and management roles, specialising in advice on Australian equities and research on stock selection. He has worked in both large and small organisations including Credit Suisse, and most recently ran his own investment and financial advice business.

Andrew Logan - B.Bus, ANZIIF(Fellow) DIP FS(Brok) FNIBA QPIB

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business and has completed postgraduate studies in Insurance at the University of Technology, Sydney. He is a Fellow of the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia, which also recognises him as a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker. Andrew is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute and has nearly completed a Masters Degree in Risk Management from the University of NSW.

Andrew has 25 years experience in general insurance brokering. He commenced with his father’s insurance broking business RG Logan Pty Ltd and Logan Livestock Insurance Agency in 1983. In 2003 he established his own insurance brokerage Logan Financial Services. During this time he has gained further experience working in the London and American insurance markets.

Andrew has arranged insurance programs for a wide variety of businesses such as Property owners, Importer & Distributors, Pubs, Shopping Centres, Supermarket chains, Restaurant chains, Abattoirs, Fund Managers, Financial Services, Trades and Manufacturers.

Kathy Montgomery

Kathy holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years experience in the profession. Since 1990 Kathy has run her own firm providing business, accounting, taxation and superannuation services to a clientele of successful small businesses and individuals. Kathy’s particular expertise is in strategic business advice and long-term wealth creation.

Louise Lakomy

Louise is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) who holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in finance and funds management, and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (GDFP). She has over eight years experience as an advisor, having previously worked at a boutique advisory firm specialising in retirement strategies, and a private bank where she managed a large portfolio of high net worth clients across both the retiree and wealth accumulation market.

In her current role Louise advises individual clients, companies and trustees of superannuation funds by individually tailoring financial solutions to meet her client’s specific needs. She takes a holistic approach to planning which helps to ensure clients objectives are consistently met.

Louise is also actively involved with the Financial Planning Association of Australia and currently holds a position on the Board of Directors.
